This week, our curious explorers dove into the wonders of the rain cycle! Through hands-on sensory play, the children learned how clouds form, how rain falls, and how water travels through our world.
With our Sensory Waterland setup, each child became part of a miniature landscape filled with rivers, “clouds,” and tiny raindrops. Using natural materials and water play, they poured, splashed, and watched how “rain” creates streams and pools, helping them understand how nature’s cycle brings water to life.
In line with our Reggio-inspired approach, we encouraged the children to ask questions, make observations, and create their own tiny water worlds. This sensory-rich activity allowed them to explore freely, gaining a natural understanding of science and the rhythms of nature.Watching them wonder and discover reminds us of the beauty in everyday nature.
